A 241 Certificate, meaning two for one, allows you to access promotional pricing where the second traveller or portion of the booking is heavily discounted. Classic Points can be used alongside the certificate to reduce the remaining cost. Points act like cash, but deposits and the 241 redemption fee must be paid separately.
What is a 241 Certificate?
A 241 Certificate, often referred to as two for one, is a promotional travel benefit that provides significant savings on eligible bookings.
In most cases:
- The first traveller pays the full base fare
- The second traveller receives a reduced fare, often 50 percent off the base fare
- Both travellers are still required to pay taxes, fees, and any extras
The certificate unlocks access to these discounted rates, which are not available through standard pricing.
What You Need
To use a 241 Certificate with Classic Points, you must:
- Be an active Classic Points member
- Hold a valid 241 Certificate that has not expired
- Have available Classic Points if you wish to reduce your out of pocket cost
How the Booking Works
1. Choose Your Holiday
Select an eligible travel offer available through Classic Holidays. Not all products will qualify for 241 pricing.
2. Apply Your 241 Certificate
- The certificate is applied during the booking process
- It unlocks exclusive two for one or similar promotional pricing
- The discounted rate is applied before any points are used
3. Use Classic Points, optional
- Points can be applied at the time of booking
- They work like cash to reduce the remaining balance after the 241 discount
- You can use points for part payment or full payment, depending on your balance
- Any remaining amount is paid in cash
4. Pay the Redemption Fee
- A standard 241 redemption fee is charged per person at the time of booking
- This fee must be paid in cash and cannot be covered by points
Example of How It Works
- Original base fare for two travellers: $2,000
- 241 Certificate applied: second fare discounted, total base fare reduces
- Taxes and fees added for both travellers
- Classic Points applied to reduce the remaining balance
- Redemption fee added per person and paid in cash
Important Things to Know
- Classic Points reduce the cost of the booking but cannot be used for deposits or redemption fees
- All travellers must still pay applicable taxes, fees, and extras
- Certificates are subject to expiry dates, availability, and specific booking conditions
- Not all travel products or departures are eligible for 241 offers
